ABOUT US
Extension Odyssées is a spatialized sound installation that can be adapted to different locations, and in which the audience moves along a defined path. A unique sound experience.
“I had the impossible urge to be everywhere at once. To listen and see on the move. So the idea came up that a spark from the Odyssey would escape somewhere in the cities, in other places, while I was playing elsewhere. I imagined that this spark would be a sound, held, like a flame that flickers but remains lit endlessly. This sound is the second adventure of the Odyssey, that of the Narrative. A deep sound, made of a city murmur mixed with a deep, husky note. Over this drone, the cello chants, speaks and sings, also in a deep voice.
It’s a narrative, stanzas interrupted by long silences. In the hollows of these silences, voices with timbres, accents and multiple languages gather and tell. A scroll that could go on forever, winding its way along walls and lights.
